Kelley Carmichael Casey, PsyD, CFRE (Boulder CO) Kelley has spent more than a dozen years as a nonprofit executive director and many more in marketing/advertising, and behavioral health. She brings to bear an arsenal of fundraising and communications strategies, techniques, best practices, and resources. After ten years as National Executive Director and current Director Emeritus at SCRAP Creative Reuse, Kelley has vast national experience. She is passionate about increasing accessibility to professional fundraising support for small nonprofits. She is determined to close the gap of inequity for small nonprofits to access charitable dollars. Small nonprofits are typically unable to put into motion a full-service fundraising department and consultants are expensive. Kelley is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a Certified Nonprofit Technical Professional. She has bachelors degrees in Psychology, Theology, and Education, masters degrees in Counseling and Clinical Psychology, and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She lives in Boulder CO with her husband, Brian Casey, who is on the Jazz Faculty at the University of Northern Colorado.


Sharon Kremer, Chair (Denton TX) Three words/phrases that best describe Sharon: involved, curious, oriented to projects. Sharon never actively chose teaching; rather, teaching found her and she melded into its demands and rewards. She is also a veteran non-profit board member, having served at the helm of her local soup kitchen, ballet, and outdoor learning and challenge board. Sharon dedicates her hours to community activism and promoting the cause of social justice.

MaryEllen Etienne, Vice Chair (Dayton OH) MaryEllen is an international leader in sustainability. She is Director of the Ohio Community at the U.S. Green Building Council, a board member with the National Recycling Coalition, and the lead organizer of Green Drinks Dayton. Previously, she was focused on the world of zero waste, and was the founder and director of multiple organizations including Zero Waste Ventures, Reuse International, Reuse Alliance, ReuseConex, Reuse NYC, London Community Recycling Network and NY WasteMatch.

Sarah Kelley, Treasurer (Portland OR) Sarah is an environmental industrialist with 20 years of experience in the international production of consumer products, Sarah’s focus is reducing the environmental impact of mass production. Sarah is a respected leader in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.

Yelena Hughes, Secretary (Lyons CO) Yelena Hughes is a mom of two kids and two dogs. She is a middle school math and science teacher and owns and operates a women and girls yoga adventure travel business. Aside from teaching, Yelena is on the parks and recreation committee for the Town of Lyons, Colorado and is an avid outdoor enthusiast.

Tim Carmichael, At Large (Fort Lauderdale FL) Tim has a long history of grassroots community engagement. In all of the roles he has played; a tennis pro, a landscaper, an organizer, a Trivial Pursuit master, he always advocates for equity, community, and accessibility.

Buffy Andrews, At Large (Boulder CO) Buffy is a principal at Andrews Design, LLC specializing in green residential architecture and landscape architecture. She is active in the arts community and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Art Parts Creative Reuse in Boulder.
